CSM Group is pleased to welcome Blake Nichols, project engineer; Bret Clark, construction manager; and Stephen Ochsenkehl, security analyst, to the team.
Nichols has over seven years of civil engineering and site superintendent experience and previously held various roles with Fleis & VendenBrink Engineering and F&V Construction.
As a project engineer, Blake provides project management and administrative support, including performing daily and/or weekly site inspections for safety and quality purposes and writing the required reports based on those inspections. He also assists with writing scopes of work, bid solicitations, pre-construction meetings and walk-throughs, post-bid interviews, compiling and distributing progress meeting agendas and minutes, and receiving, reviewing, and distributing submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents.
Clark spent the first 11 years of his career managing projects at Baldwin Filters. His work took him to several international destinations, including China, Morocco, England, and Mexico. For the past four years, he was a project engineer at Fabri-Kal, where he worked primarily within the molded fiber division.
In his role, he is responsible for directing and verifying contract compliance by trade contractors and ensuring that the owner’s expectations are met concerning a quality finished project. He is also responsible for trade contractor pre-qualification, review of project documents, scheduling, bid document preparation, submittal approval(s) and tracking, safety compliance, cost control, quality assurance, and field order pricing.
Ochsenkehl is returning to CSM Group after interning with the company last summer.
As a full-time security analyst, he oversees information security, cybersecurity, and IT risk management programs based on industry-accepted information security and risk management frameworks. He is an integral part of the IT team by improving and communicating the maturity levels of information security, state of cybersecurity, and IT risk practices across the company.
