To better support the organization’s growth and position in the market, CSM Group has promoted John Van Zweden, P.E. to vice president.

Van Zweden joined CSM Group in 2014 and has been an integral part of the growth and development of the company, and has been instrumental in the expansion of CSM Group's pharmaceutical/advanced technologies market. His relationships have led to CSM Group managing work for many multinational pharmaceutical, life sciences, and animal health companies across the United States.
“John has a long and illustrious career in this sector," said Steve East, chairman and chief executive officer at CSM Group. "His expertise, built through decades of experiences with the likes of The Upjohn Company, Pfizer, and many others, is unparalleled. We are, without a doubt, fortunate to have John on our team."
He has more than 30 years of facilities and engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biomedical, and agricultural environments, and spent more than 28 years of his career with Pfizer. During his time there, he managed the execution of dozens of projects in drug product, animal health, utilities, research and development, office, and warehouse environments at the Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor, Michigan sites. 
 
In this leadership role, Van Zweden is responsible for the management of client accounts as well as expanding and securing new business. He also assists in the growth and development of staff members and guides staff development by identifying skills needs, delegating tasks appropriately, and motivating staff to provide outstanding client service.
