Anita Pelak, CSP, CHST joins CSM Group as safety manager

CSM Group is pleased to announce that Anita Pelak, CSP, CHST, has joined the company as a safety manager.

Pelak has more than 25 years of environment, health, and safety (EHS) experience in pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) as designated by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. She is also a Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

“We are excited to welcome Anita to our team,” said Brian Beaver, vice president at CSM Group. “Her expertise in EHS areas of knowledge — including contractor pre-qualification and solicitation, incident data trending, and safety team development — will help us grow and improve our quality of service, as well as maintain a high level of safety within our organization.”

Before joining CSM Group, Pelak oversaw the Site Contractor Safety Program and provided safety and industrial hygiene support for several API production buildings at Pfizer, Inc. in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In that role, she received multiple awards related to site safety, including “Creating a Safety Culture” and “Contractor Safety Program.”

As a safety manager, Pelak will play an integral role in managing CSM Group’s safety and risk management and will provide leadership of health and safety processes, including regulatory agency compliance, company policies, and human capital development. She will also execute the company’s safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
