FIELD-READY VDC FOR CONTRACTORS

Build faster, avoid rework, and install with confidence.

SEE WHAT FIELD-READY LOOKS LIKE

Let's get your crews working from coordinated models and installation-ready drawings, no BIM team needed. Reach out today to see how field-first VDC can help you hit schedule, avoid rework, and keep installs clean.

Case Study

KALAMAZOO COUNTRY CLUB

A Midwest construction partner engaged CSM Group to help deliver the Kalamazoo Country Club project on a fast-track schedule, where small layout errors could quickly compound into rework.

With multiple trades working above tight ceilings and coordination decisions needing to be made in days, not weeks, the team required a model that the field could trust.

CSM Group focused on what unlocked the most value in the field: targeted clash checks, a prioritized issue log, and a short weekly cadence to resolve blockers and freeze ready zones. To support daily field execution, we produced installation-ready drawings, including plans, sections, spools, and a one-page visual used in daily huddles. CAD/CAM point data was exported directly to the layout robot, ensuring hangers, inserts, and sleeves landed exactly where they belonged.

The payoff was tangible in the field. Crews reported smoother progress, fewer surprises, and faster layouts. Against the fast-track baseline, the project achieved a 50% reduction in overall construction time and realized 25% time savings by avoiding rework.

“The model didn’t just help us build faster...it helped us build smarter.”

BUILD IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

When coordination issues reach the field, they cost more than time: they disrupt crews, force workarounds, and create rework that compounds quickly.

Field-ready VDC helps trade contractors catch and resolve conflicts before crews mobilize. We focus on what matters most in the field: constructible models, clear installation details, and layout data crews can trust on day one.

You don’t need an in-house BIM team or new software. CSM Group works alongside your project team to deliver the right level of coordination at the right time, so installations go more smoothly, layouts happen faster, and the work is built right the first time.

You get:

Fewer field conflicts and RFIs
Cleaner installs with less rework
Faster layouts and more predictable schedules
Field-ready drawings and data, not just a coordinated model
