Last Thursday, September 17, CSM Group welcomed representatives from Comstock Township to our office for the official signing of our contract for New Fire Station 9-3, a milestone we're excited to celebrate alongside our partners in the township.
About the Project
New Fire Station 9-3 will be a 23,011-square-foot facility located at 10080 E. Michigan Ave. (M-96) in Galesburg, Michigan. The station is designed to house a full-time crew of six, administrative offices for Comstock Fire & Rescue, and a training room with a capacity of 50. Substantial completion is targeted for January 31, 2028, and CSM Group is proud to serve as the construction manager bringing this project to life.

The Design Team
The project was designed by Jones Petrie Rafinski (JPR), an architecture and engineering firm based in South Bend, Indiana, which prepared the plans and specifications for the new station.
The Day
The morning began with a warm welcome at 8:30 AM for Supervisor Ben Martin, Kevin Thompson, Mike Meulman, and Fire Chief Matt Beauchamp of Comstock Fire & Rescue. After a tour of our office, the group had a casual breakfast, with an opportunity for our team to introduce ourselves and share more about the role we'll play on this project.
With introductions made, the group moved to the main event: the official signing of the contract, followed by photos to mark the occasion.
