CSM Group is pleased to welcome Colton Meyer, project engineer, and Serenity Rostick, part-time field intern, to the team.
Meyer joins CSM Group with a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Ferris State University. His prior work experience includes a role as a project engineer for Wolgast Corporation. In that role, he managed bond program projects for Hastings Public Schools, including mechanical upgrades to four schools and enhancements to a parking lot.
As a project engineer, Meyer will provide project management and administrative support, including performing daily and/or weekly site inspections for safety and quality purposes and writing the required reports based on those inspections. He will also assist with writing scopes of work, bid solicitations, pre-construction meetings and walk-throughs, post-bid interviews, compiling and distributing progress meeting agendas and minutes, and receiving, reviewing and distributing submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents.
Rostick, a recent Kalamazoo Central High School graduate, will be learning the ins and outs of project management as a part-time field intern. She job shadowed CSM Group through KRESA EFE’s Construction Trades program and was named the program’s Student of the Month in October of 2018.
As a field intern, Rostick will provide project support and coordination on the day-to-day activities and will perform basic construction inspections, construction administration, and construction quality control management duties with supervision and caching by CSM Group project managers.
