CSM Group promotes James Grossa, STSC to safety specialist

CSM Group is proud to announce the promotion of James Grossa, STSC to safety specialist. Grossa has been with the company since August of 2014 and holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Northern Michigan University.

In his time with CSM Group, he has worked across multiple market segments, including food and beverage and healthcare. Most recently, he played an integral part of the Bronson Cancer Pavilion project team in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan.

His work ethic and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, from his teammates to the client to the trade contractors, makes him a valuable asset to the organization. During his time with CSM Group, he has been awarded four (4) CSM Group Builder Awards, including Teamwork, Client Satisfaction, and Attitude (x2). 

As a safety specialist, Grossa will work closely with senior project managers, project managers, construction managers, and project engineers to ensure safety compliance and the coordination of safety programs. He will perform job site safety audits to ensure all safety rules and regulations are being followed, and will also be responsible for required reporting and recordkeeping, along with scheduling educational safety conferences and workshops to ensure CSM Group is up-to-date on new safety methods and procedures.
