Since joining the organization in 2005, Julie Byrne has been an integral part of CSM Group’s evolution and growth. It’s only fitting that she steps into the role of president to ensure that the organization is positioned for long-term success.

“Julie is the right person to lead our organization,” said Steve East, chief executive officer at CSM Group. “She is a strong strategic thinker and has the breadth of business experience we believe is critical to nurture client relationships, lead with innovation, and commit to our people and core values.”

In her role, Byrne will provide strategic leadership for the company by working with the CSM Group Advisory Board and other management to establish long-range goals, plans, and policies. She will also focus on guiding CSM Group’s strategy, corporate development, and partnerships, along with the company’s positioning within the market. Byrne has been in the project management space for over 15 years and has extensive experience in strategic planning, operational success, and business leadership.

During her time at CSM Group, Byrne has helped develop internal processes that have streamlined the project start-up process. She was behind the development and implementation of CSM Group’s Pre-Construction Department, which grew from one estimator to a team of nine under her leadership. She also established an internal gate process that is used to ensure proper checks and balances are in place on all CSM Group project sites. This process facilitates better communication, provides support where needed, and, ultimately, helps us better serve our clients.

She is also a colleague that others trust, respect, and look up to. In 2011, Byrne was the recipient of CSM Group’s Excellence in Customer Service Award, the company’s most prestigious award that is presented to someone who provides excellent service - both internally and externally - daily.
