CSM Group announced the promotion of two employees during the company’s annual summit on Friday, October 5 at the Kalamazoo Country Club.

Tom Pierce, STSC has been promoted to a project director and John Garay has been promoted to a senior project manager.

Pierce, who has been with CSM Group since April of 2015, has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has been supporting CSM Group’s food and beverage market in the Southern United States.

As a project director, Pierce will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through closeout, including managing the coordination of the owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractors. His experience in all phases of construction will allow him to monitor project quality, schedule, and budget to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Garay joined CSM Group in April of 2012 and has been an integral part of CSM Group’s food and beverage market. Most recently, he has been supporting a national food manufacturing client on their projects in Battle Creek, Michigan.

In his role as a senior project manager, Garay will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight during all phases of construction on and around multiple operational job sites. He will act in the best interest of the organization be establishing quality relationships with CSM Group’s project managers and will act as an industry expert to assist his teammates in all facets of construction, safety, and company procedures.
