CSM Group joined Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center and community partners on May 4, 2026, to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the Suzanne UD Parish Therapy Arena, a purpose-built equine therapy facility that marks the culmination of Cheff’s Raise the Roof capital campaign.

The ceremony brought together Cheff staff, board members, and key community partners, including representatives from Consumers Credit Union, to mark the start of construction. CSM Group is honored to serve as the construction manager on a project with such a meaningful impact for individuals and families across southwest Michigan.

Rooted in Cheff’s mission to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities through equine-assisted services, the new arena will expand access to targeted mental health services and hippotherapy programming. The facility is designed to meet a growing community need for innovative, relationship-based approaches to wellness and healing, and to allow Cheff to serve more clients in a safe, accessible, and purpose-built environment.

CSM Group brings deep experience in managing complex construction projects for mission-driven organizations and is committed to delivering a facility that upholds Cheff’s high standards and serves the community for decades to come. Construction is now officially underway, and the team looks forward to watching the arena take shape in the months ahead.

“Projects like this are a reminder of why we do what we do," said Stuart Mason, chief executive officer at CSM Group. "The Suzanne UD Parish Therapy Arena will serve individuals and families in this community for generations to come, and we couldn’t be more proud to play a role in bringing it to life.”
