Pre-Construction Services

Our Design Phase Services, also known as the Pre-Construction Phase, are more thorough and formalized than traditionally found in the market. Site inspections, design and constructibility reviews are always part of the process. Our construction management expertise allows us to examine construction projects early on from more perspectives than is typical at other firms, when it can have maximum impact.

Our clients will recognize a difference in the detail of our service, from estimating, scheduling, communication, and drawing reviews, to our interaction with Architectural firms and our commitment to maximize value without compromising quality.

We're better equipped to “see around corners” with the foresight to unearth and avoid potential problems. We perform value engineering to add efficiency and economies. We accurately estimate work packages and develop detailed project budgets. We build aggressive, goal-oriented project schedules that are further developed with direct involvement with each trade contractor.

CSM Group demands a consistent high standard of quality from both trade contractors and ourselves. We plan for and expect high quality work; it is not an unintended by-product. On-site quality assurance begins with post-bid meetings with each trade contractor. Project expectations are reviewed with the contractors’ project managers and foremen to ensure there are no misunderstandings. Each trade contractor is required by our contract documents to designate a Quality Assurance Representative by name. Submittals are reviewed thoroughly for contract compliance. Work is reviewed as it is installed and problems addressed and corrected on an on-going basis. We do not wait for the punch list to identify and correct deficiencies.
