MPI ResearchTranslational Imaging Center
Client MPI Research
Location Mattawan, MI
Size (sq. ft) 10,000
Completion Date June 2014
This two-story facility marks the first time that MPI’s researchers have access to a cyclotron and a connected vivarium, which is able to house a wide range of non-human species in one place.
The project was built in conjunction with INVICRO, a Boston-based imaging services and software company and 3D Imaging, a Little Rock, AK-based company that provides research services for the design and development of standard and customized radiopharmaceuticals.
This facility brings informatics, radiochemistry, and molecular imaging under one roof, something that no other facility in the world is able to do. The center will handle six to 10 projects during the course of any month, with 20 to 25 individuals dedicated to the center.
