CSM Group’s Sauer-Becker Honored by National Association of Women in Construction as “Foremost Leader 2007
West Michigan—The Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has honored Shannon Sauer-Becker, a Project Manager for CSM Group, as its “Foremost Leader” for 2007. The award is based upon commitment to the organization as evidenced by years of membership; attendance at local, regional, and national meetings and conventions; chapter offices held; and participation in and chairing of committees.
It is the fifth time Sauer-Becker has been honored by the chapter. A chapter member for over a decade, she has served on almost every committee and in nearly every officer position, currently as Chapter President. In announcing the honor, Past President Deb Cole praised Sauer-Becker’s organizational skills and drew special attention to her role in the past year.
“Her focus was to continue to hold top-notch tours and speaker events, and involve as many other trade organizations as possible. We believe this focus has been key to recruiting some great new members this year, which is key to our Chapter, NAWIC, and our industry as a whole, “ Cole said.
