CSM Group Heads Up Construction of Lifespan Hospice Facility
Southwest Michigan—Work on the new 12,000-square-foot Lifespan Hospice Facility in Battle Creek is on schedule for completion in February, 2006, reports Todd McDonald, Project Director for CSM Group, the construction management firm in charge of the operation. This $2.4 million, high-quality care unit includes a home-like atmosphere for residents and a community living room and kitchen area for family members.
According to McDonald, this new, $2.4 million facility is located on a heavily wooded site and surrounded by a large pond. “To make sure the building blended naturally with the environment while serving its intended purpose, we worked closely with the architectural firm of Diekema Hamman and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality during the development of the land and the construction process.”
