CSM Group Hired as Construction Manager for New Sports Bar at The Annex
Kalamazoo, MI—The Wings Stadium Complex has retained CSM Group as construction manager for its 2,800-square-foot, 75-person capacity, casual dining restaurant/sports bar being built inside The Annex. The new sports bar, intended to be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, will include a viewing area of the skating rinks that are used for high school hockey games, youth hockey, adult-league hockey and special events.
According to Tim Ankney, Project Director for CSM Group, the area being converted for the sports bar is primarily a carpeted viewing site at the south end of the upper level of The Annex. Some conference rooms and offices will be eliminated in order to allow space for the bar. Ankney says the “open-when-there-aren’t-hockey-games” concept is new for the stadium and the sports bar won’t replace the current bar, which is open only during games. The project, which is still in the design stages, is scheduled for completion this September.
