From dealing with the elements on the outside to controlling
the environment on the inside, recreational facilities are
sophisticated, complex structures. They require thorough,
specialized knowledge of design and construction as well as
technology and materials. At CSM Group, we understand the
many things that come into play when constructing places to play. |

Wings Stadium - The Cube
Several different footprints and locations were considered in light of the fact that this would be the third sheet of ice on the property. The impact on parking, interior and exterior traffic flow, grades and storm water retention were some to the considerations that affected not only where the building would be located but how large it could be. Several of CSM's personnel posses an intimate knowledge of the function and flow of ice arenas as a result of their long-term involvement from a user group standpoint. |

Kalamazoo County YMCA Natatorium Addition
This project included demolition of
the existing pool and a small bathhouse to allow the
addition of a new 25-yard, six lane, indoor pool
with locker rooms, storage and mechanical support
spaces. The main entrance and lobby for the entire

to the main parking lot and incorporated into
the addition. An existing power company transmission
line and easement, along with the existing parking
lot placed tight limitations on the possible
location and orientation of the addition. |
