American Red Cross
This facility is brightened by a combination of natural light sources, large perimeter windows and numerous cathedral skylights, as well as tasteful theme interior lighting schemes. A 26' tall red tube steel cross supports the entrance canopy and is visible at quite a distance. The Red Cross theme is incorporated more subtly within the split faced masonry wainscot by utilizing ground-faced units at evenly spaced intervals.

Bronson Properties, Inc.
This project began with a minor dilemma. An existing physician group located on Kalamazoo’s west side would have to be relocated from their existing office space within the next eight months. The hospital had property available but no programming had been done and no plans were yet developed. CSM along with Diekema/Hamann Architects (DHA) immediately embarked on a fast track process to design and build this 16,500 sf facility in time for the critical spring of 2000 move-in date.

CSM was responsible for the construction
of an approximately 9,000 square foot office
building consisting of steel structure with precast
plank floor and wood framed curtain wall construction.
The original building was constructed approximately
25 years prior and utilized an extensive amount
of interior architectural woodwork. The construction process was contained
within the very sensitive limits of the owner’s
existing landscaping and tie into the existing
structure.
