Creating a Strong Pool of Diverse Suppliers
The diversity of our suppliers is vital to our customers’ success in the global marketplace. We are committed to maintaining a diverse supplier base and implementing business practices that will provide equal access to proposal opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses. The responsibility lies throughout CSM Group with all personnel who influence or make supplier selection decisions.
In 2015, 7.5 percent of total sales was spent with diverse suppliers (tracking LGBT, veteran, women, and minority-owned businesses).
Meet Our Manager of Organizational Development & Diversity
Director of Human Resources
As Manager of Organizational Development & Diversity, Kristin is responsible for representing CSM Group at events and for developing new relationships through focus fairs, summits, and conferences.
Currently, Kristin is head of the CSM Group Diversity Committee, where she helps foster an environment where the individual differences among CSM Group employees, our contractors, and our suppliers – whether in terms of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion – are valued and embraced. She also helps to provide opportunities for diverse individuals and/or companies to engage in employment or business with CSM Group.
Kristin sits on the Board of Directors for the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, an organization committed to empowering women and minorities economically through business development training, supplier certification, business-to-business networking, and accessible capital assistance programs. She also is a member of the Corporate Development Committee for the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council.
