Building Green

CSM Group has been focused on sustainability for much of our history. Our company has long partnered with clients to consider the long-term implications of building decisions, understanding that life cycle costs and impact on our surrounding environment are just as important as initial cost.

CSM Group is well suited to support and employ “Green Building Principles” for any project. CSM has a company sponsored program focused on LEED accreditation with several staff either already accredited or moving toward accreditation.

We have substantial experience on several projects working with owners and designers to include sustainable features into their buildings. These range from exceeding code requirements in mechanical and electrical systems, alternative power sources, day lighting and shading, automated building controls, to recycling of construction waste and demolition materials and building site orientation, along with long term strategies to lessen the impact of the building’s life on the environment.
