CSM History

CSM Group was founded in 1983 in Kalamazoo, MI as a construction management firm specializing in occupied healthcare facilities. The founders of the firm recognized that few construction management companies were able to understand, manage and successfully complete high-quality work without disrupting the critical operations being performed. Recognizing this need, the company has focused on developing an understanding of the business strategies of our clients. The superior level of service required by healthcare operations was easily applied to the other core markets. CSM Group is currently providing CM services nationwide in four market segments: Healthcare, Education, Food and Beverage, and Commercial Projects.
