Construction Schedule Update - July 31, 2008
Baseball Field:
- Grade ball field, Install under drainage, place & grade topsoil: Now thru August 8th
- Grade and prep area for new dugouts: Softball Field is complete and baseball will be done this week.
- Layout of New Dugouts: Week of August 4th
- Install dugout footings & slabs: Week of August 4th
- Install dugout masonry walls: August 11th thru August 22nd
- Finish dugouts (wood framing, roofing etc.): August 18th thru August 29th
- Layout new ball fields: Week of August 4th
- Install irrigation system: Now thru August 8th
- Install fencing: Week of August 11th
Stadium Schedule:
- New stadium bleacher installation: Now thru August 15th
- Stadium fence installation; Week of August 25th
- The 4’ fence around the track: Week of August 4th
Parking Lot/Entrance Schedule:
- Grading & installation of new concrete curb & sidewalks: Now thru August 8th
- Grading for asphalt: July 29th thru August 1st
- Base course paving: July 30th thru August 6th
- Finish course paving & pavement markings: August 18th thru August 22nd
New Addition Units 100 & 200:
- Interior masonry walls unit 200: Now thru August 15th
- Floor slab pours in unit 200: Gym floor this week, remaining by August 29th
- Erect structural steel, joist & deck unit 200: Now thru August 8th
- Install exterior studding: Now thru August 15th
- Install roofing unit 100: Now thru August 8th
- Install metal wall panels: August 4th thru August 29th
- Install roofing unit 200: August 11th thru August 29th
- MEP rough-in: Now thru August 29th
- Install new gym Kawall system: Waiting on a conformation delivery date from Kalwall
- We are currently running on time per the bid schedule.
Renovation Work Unit 300:
- Band room masonry work: Will finish tomorrow
- Install MEP’s: Now thru August 8th
- Install dust collection: Week of August 11th
- Paint walls & ceilings: Now thru August 8th
- Install case & custom goods: August 11th thru August 22nd
- Install ceiling grid: Now thru August 29th
- MEP’s trim out: Now thru August 15th
- Building inspections: Tomorrow, August 1st, August 20th and August 22nd
Renovation Work Unit 400
- Erect structural steel & Deck: Will finish tomorrow
- Install roofing around & over courtyard: July 29th thru August 1st

The current schedule shows these areas being ready for occupancy by August 22nd.

When will the high school project begin?

When will the gym be available for sporting events and practices?
January 20, 2009
Where will the softball team practice and play games in Spring of 2008?
Practice will hopefully be at the lower fields in Kindleberger Park. Home games will take place either at the Kindleberger Little League fields or at the lower field in Kindleberger Park.
Where will the baseball teams practice and play games in Spring of 2008?
Practice will be at the Northwood Little League fields and perhaps at the lower field in Kindleberger Park. The batting cages on the high school fields will be moved and will be available for practice. The four Varsity home games will be at Mayor Riverfront Park and the J.V. home games will be held at Northwood Little League fields.
When will the softball and baseball fields be available for practices/games in 2009?
Spring of 2010
When will summer band camp or other activities be able to take place at the back of the high school building?
Depending on the growth of grass, practice should be able to start on August 3, 2009.
Will the tennis courts be open to the public during summer 2008? 2009?
Tennis courts ill remain open at all times. Access to the courts will change on a weekly basis depending on what site work is being done at what time.
When will the football stadium be ready for sporting events?
CSM’s portion of the work will be completed by August 8, 2008. The school will be performing maintenance work on the track. CSM is unsure of the school’s schedule for this work.
Will the band room be open for summer 2008 practices?
Unfortunately no. the band room will not be available from June 12, 2008 through August 25, 2008.
When will the band room be closed for remodeling and for how long?

When will the auditorium be closed for remodeling and for how long?
The auditorium will be closed over spring break this year and from June 12, 2008 until August 25, 2008.
Where will students/visitors park during the project?
Current parking will be available until March 17, 2008. We will then take over the back parking lot where the teachers are parking now. On June 12, 2008 the only available parking will be at the stadium. All parking will be available on August 25, 2008.
What doorways will be open to students and the public in 2008/2009?
There will be NO access to the High School for students or the public from June 12, 2008 through August 25, 2008. Access for Summer 2009 will be addressed at a later date.
Where will students eat lunch during the 2008/2009 school year?
Students will eat lunch in their current lunch area.
